To start off the new year, I will read a book for however-long-it-takes-me-to-finish-a-book and write a reflection of that book after I finish reading.
The goal is to read at least 25 books this year or an average of 2.5 books each month. I can read any book, novel, anthology, or manifesto. The only requirement is to finish the book from cover to cover.
The reflection can be a summary, analysis, reflection, or evaluation. It must be academically written and well researched. The amount must be at least 1500 words and no more than 5000 words.
In addition, each day I will pick out a significant and memorable quote; a commentary of a 300 - 1000 words will accompany each chosen quote.
At the end of the year, I will choose the top 5 books of 2012. To kick off the challenge, I will read “Tuesdays with Morrie” by Mitch Albom.
